Marvel Studios Drops Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy Trailers Back to Back

Marvel Studios recently dropped two new trailers to prep fans for the upcoming release slate through February.

The two trailers were for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, both of which are due out in the coming months. Both trailers provided an in-depth look at the plots and characters set for each production.

The new Ant-Man trailer clocked in at over 2 minutes long and showed how Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) is enjoying his newfound fame after the events of Avengers: Endgame

The trailer also showcased Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) as well as a big portrayal of Kathryn Newton as Scott’s daughter Cassie.

The crew discovers an entire universe residing within the Quantum Realm after Cassie creates a device that sends a beacon to the microscopic world. While it’s not revealed in the trailer, Janet has a lot of reservations about the realm and hints at a secret she’s held since leaving.

Fans also got a good look at Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) in both his comic-accurate costume as well as looking similar to He Who Remains in Loki. Kang is set to be the next overarching villain through the Multiverse Saga.

Other points of interest include a look at Bill Murray’s yet-to-be-named character and Cassie Lang in a similar outfit to her father, hinting at the arrival of Stature. Fans also got to see what looked like Kang’s army.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set for release in theaters on Feb. 17, 2023, kicking off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Guardians of the Galaxy are back for some holiday cheer as Marvel revealed a trailer ahead of its Disney Plus release. The trailer featured all the comedy the guardians have been known for over the years.

This will be a one-off special on Disney Plus so it will not be as long as a traditional film. Director James Gunn revealed earlier this year the special will run about 40 minutes.

The trailer featured many from the original cast including Star Lord/Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Nebula (Karen Gillan), and Kraglin (Sean Gunn), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), and a unique-looking Groot (Vin Diesel). Fans also got a look at Cosmo the SpaceDog.

Drax and Mantis set off on a quest to cheer up Star Lord as he is down during the holidays since Gamora has disappeared after Avengers: Endgame. That journey takes them to earth where they try to gather Holiday items and kidnap Kevin Bacon, who appeared in the trailer as himself, to bring back to Quill.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is set to drop on Disney Plus on Nov. 25.

Both these trailers dropping is exciting news for Marvel fans.

Kang has been a hot-button topic since Majors appeared in Loki and he looks all the more terrifying in the upcoming Ant-Man movie. Furthermore, it’s high time the MCU gets a villain to draw it all together as Phase 4 has been all over the place, for better or for worse.

As for the Guardians of the Galaxy, I have always been a fan and this holiday special looks to be just a lot of dumb fun. Drax has long-been a fan favorite and I am so excited to see him featured heavily here.

Have a safe and happy Halloween!
