The OG Map, a version of the original map that defined Fortnite, opens the door to an endless amount of possible returns in the game. Which ones do you hope to see?
After launching a massive ad campaign for Fortnite OG where they promised to bring back the old feel to the game, Epic Games did the near-impossible and actually delivered on it.
Each week for the month of November, a new update will be launched that cycles from Season 5 all the way to Season X – meaning miniguns, planes, cannons, and more will all be back in the game soon.
Players around the world collectively agree that the newest update is a resounding hit and leaves many excited about what the future of Fortnite might look like, or more accurately, what else they might bring back. With a catalog of items that have been vaulted for years now potentially about to be available again, we ask what else do you hope Fortnite will bring back?
Weapons
It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t start this off with my favorite gun in the game’s history, the drum gun. It looked cool, shot fast, and dealt good damage. Easily one of the best weapons they ever did and I hope it’s back soon.
This one was in and out of the servers fast, but the Guided Missile should have another chance in gameplay. The idea for it was sick. When you fired it, you could control it for a limited amount of time and steer the rocket right into your opponents. I remember thinking it was overpowered but it has been so long since I used it that I need to get a reminder of its awesomeness.
The lightsaber should also make its epic comeback cause, well, it’s a lightsaber. Who wouldn’t want to play with that??
Locations
I don’t know what it was about the place, but I’d love to see Stark Industries one more time. I’m a superhero nerd and being able to play in the game’s Marvel phase was such a treat. Plus, it was in an ideal spot if you were looking to get into a big fight with another team.
The Shark was always really unique, especially with it being one of the first water-bound marked spots in the game’s history. It was set up nicely in the corner of the map and had an insane amount of treasure chests in there. It’s time to give this place a second chance!
The Wrap-Up
Being able to log back into Fortnite and seeing Tilted Towers again was something I thought would never happen, but I’m happy to see it. It brings back the nostalgic feeling from when the game launched all those years ago and really reminds everyone why they fell in love with it in the first place.
And if Epic was willing to re-open the doors to un-vaulting chapters for this season, I hope they continue this trend and take us all on a trip down memory lane. We get to see how far this game has really come.
So what do you think? Do you hope any of these things return or did I forget to include your favorite item from the past? Share your reactions in the comments below or join in the conversation on Boss Rush Network’s Discord and Facebook.
