It’s a busy time for game announcements.
Sony kicked-off the summer game announcement season with its State of Play broadcast, revealing details about several upcoming games for the PlayStation 5 and PS VR2.
In all, the stream included trailers for 14 upcoming games, including several first-party titles, set release later this year or in 2025. This State of Play marked Sony’s second major stream of the year with the company hosting a State of Play in January.
Marvel Rivals
A closed beta test is slated for July for Marvel Rivals, a 6v6 superhero-based player-versus-player shooter. The game will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Concord
Concord is a 5v5 first-person multiplayer shooter that is slated to release on Aug. 23 for PlayStation 5 and PC. Prior to the launch, there will be a beta period.
Astro Bot
Astro Bot is a 3D platformer that will release on Sept. 6 for the PlayStation 5. The game takes place in space and will have six galaxies with 80 levels.
God of War Ragnarök
God of War Ragnarök will make its way to PC on Sept. 19 with players needing a PlayStation Network account to play. The game originally release in late 2022 for both PS4 and PS5.
Silent Hill 2
The Silent Hill 2 remake has a release date of Oct. 8. The remake of the 2001 game with the same name. Konami later aired a Silent Hill 2 Transmission that featured 13 minutes of gameplay.
Infinity Nikki
Infinity Nikki is an open-world dress-up adventure game that will release into a beta test in the third quarter of 2024 (June through August). There are five games in the Nikki series with most of them being dress-up sims on mobile.
Until Dawn
There was no official date the Until Dawn remake with the trailer only providing a window of Fall 2024 for PlayStation 5 and PC. Until Dawn was a 2015 horror game that released on the PlayStation 4.
Skydance’s Behemoth
Another game slated for Fall 2024. Skydance’s Behemoth is a first-person action-adventure that will release on the PS VR2. The trailer mostly highlighted gameplay.
Alien: Rogue Incursion
Alien: Rogue Incursion is an action-horror game slated for the PS VR2 during this year’s holiday season. The trailer featured a good look at gameplay.
Path of Exile 2
Path of Exile 2, a top-down free-to-play action RPG, is a sequel to 2013’s Path of Exile. The game, which will allow cross-play and cross-progression across various consoles, will launch into early access later this year.
Monster Hunter Wilds
Another entry in the long-running Monster Hunter series is slated to hit PlayStaion 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in 2025. The trailer offered an in-depth look at the world.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Another entry in the long-running Dynasty Warriors series will make its way to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in 2025.
Ballad of Antara
Ballad of Antara is a free-to-play fantasy action RPG set to officially release on the PlayStation 5 in 2025. While the PS5 is officially announced, the game’s X account describes it as a “multi-platform fantasy action RPG.”
Where Winds Meet
Where Winds Meet is no longer a PC exclusive as the Wuxia open-world action-adventure is also headed to the PlayStation 5. There is no official release date yet but did begin closed beta testing on PC in April.
