Nod Krai Concert

The Luna I livestream also featured a brand new concert to showcase the Nod-Krai music. It was absolutely phenomenal witha personal video from Maestro Robert about the process. As it does every year, HoYomix absolutely made their music the greatest it could be. It is definitely not a concert travelers want to miss.

Characters and Banners

With this livestream, HoYoverse displayed three new characters to be released in the Luna I update.

One of the characters showed off was Flins. Flins is an electro five-star character wielding a spear. The developers are looking to making the characters have more open-world interactions, making them feel more organic and the world mor lived in. This means that there is a main Passive Talent but several other Talents that are overworld interactions. For Flins, his Passive Talent is to display the location of Nod-Krai resources on the mini-map. As a Lightkeeper, Flins has a lantern that will glow red when danger is near. Furthermore, he is able to understand the whispers of the Wild Hunt. To other characters, the Wild Hunt sounds like cries, but Flins can decipher their language into understandable words.

Using his Elemental Skill, Flins can imbue his Normal and Charged Attacks with Electro Damage that cannot be overridden. When his Skill is triggered again, it will cast a special Elemental Burst that deals Lunar-Charged Damage to enemies and consumes less energy. His normal Elemetal Burst also deals Lunar-Charged Damage to enemies.

Another character revealed in Luna I was Lauma, a five-star character. She wields a catalyst and utilizes the element Dendro. Lauma is the first Dendro character of this new region, and thus she will be introduction Lunar-Bloom to the game. When Lunar-Bloom is triggered, it will create Verdant Dew as shown by three cresents below the party menu on the game’s UI (user interface).

With the developers looking to introduct more open-world interaction, Lauma also has several talents. Her main Passive Talent is that she shows the resources solely in Nod-Krai on the mini-map for players to collect. Lauma also has the ability to turn into a half-deer spirit that allows her to travel around more easily. Named Spirit Envoy Metamorphosis, after Lauma uses her Charged Attack, she transforms into a Spirit Envoy that consumes Stamina. She can spring in their form and do two consecutive jumps. She also has a close relationship with animals, so some animals will be able to heal the party, gift food to characters, or offer ore.

Lauma’s Elemental Skill can decrease the enemy’s Dendro and Hydro Resistance. By holding her Elemental Skill, it will consume a Verdant Dew to grant her stacks of Moon Song. This is important for her Elemental Burst because it will consume her stacks of Moon Song to increase the reaction damage of Lunar-Bloom.

The last character to be released is Aino. Aino is a four-star character who aligns with Hydro and uses a claymore. Her Passive Talent is the ability to show nearby resources on the mini-map. Furthermore, Aino is able to alter the appearance of Cool Your Jets Ducky, one of her creations. Furthermore, one of the available bosses in Nod-Krai that she created will show additional dialogue options with Aino and Ineffa, a previous five-star character.

For the character banners, Lauma will show up in the first-half of the Wish period alongside Nahida. In the second-half, Flins will appear with Yelan and a boosted rate for Aino. Aino will be given as a free character to travelers for players who don’t want to wish on the banner for her.

Alongside the Limited-Wish Banner, the Chronicle Wish Banner will also reappear. This time, the banner will feature Sumeru characters and their respective weapons.

Changing Overworld and Story Interactions

Briefly mentioned in the Talents of the characters, HoYoverse is trying to better integrate the characters into the overworld with different interactions. Alongside these talents, there will be other interactions. When new characters interact with the local NPC (non-playable character), there will be new or different dialogue options.

Like Ineffa’s story, the Story Quest of characters are going to be integrated into the Archon Quest. Hang-Out Events are now of a similar vein. Although not in the main storyline, they are now a part of the Meeting Point. This new gameplay will allow travelers to “hang out” with characters in a more organic experience to see their every day life. This will allow travelers to learn more about the different factions in Nod-Krai. These Meeting Points can be constructed in various locations with different characters to see new interactions.

Luna Sigils are collected from doing these Meeting Points alongside other rewards which can be spent to raise the Construction Level for the Luna Treasure Compass.

Furthermore, the Damselette, Columbina, has her own special area since she is of such significance in Nod-Krai called The Silvermoon Hall. In this hall, Columbina will ask for small favors such as accompanying her which will give travelers rewards as a part of the Moon’s Blessing,

Archon Quest

With the arrival of Luna I is the coming of a new main quest. This new Archon Quest will start travelers on their adventure in Nod Krai. The trailer for this update’s story is insane. There is a lot of new clues and ideas revealed that can change how travelers understand the world of Teyvat. Lumine and Aether landed in Teyvat on a spaceship? San Drone, the Marionette, is appearing in the placeof Katheryne at the Adventurer’s Guild in the story? Columbina is on their equivalent of the Statue of the Archon?

The Archon Quest is sure to bring a lot of answers and a lot more questions. It looks like a brilliant story to be told.

New Permenant Event Features

Imaniurm Theatre will be receiving an update, creating a new Lunar stage. Travelers can earn cool collectibles through this mode that can be traded with other travelers. Furthermore, two new envisaged echoes will be available for Yelan and Nahida.

The Travelers’ Tales will also now be permanent in the game. In a special notebook, travelers can now look back on previous tales they have collected and new ones to come. In a special feature, traveles can head to Narukami Shrine where a new spot has appeared. Here, travelers an “wish” for a character to appear to receive their tale.

To Tempter Thyself and Journey Far is another new permanent event. The gaol is to reach the weekly progress goals. This means completing Daily Comissions and spending Resin at least five days a week. This event will run in a cycle of twelve weeks or two version updates. The ultimate reward is a free constellation for a character travelers’ own that run in a limited time.

Similar to the Chronicle Wish Banner, the developers will have select characters available for this event in each cycle. Using this method, travelers should be able to gain four constellations for their five-star characters in this event. More detailed guidelines will be coming out later.

Anniversary Rewards

The anniversary rewards are similar to last year’s. There wil be ten Intertwined Fates gifted to travelers and 1600 Primogems. They will receive a Dust of Enlightment and a Mechanic companion in the shape of a cat to travel with. Travelers will also receive a day bed that appears to be able to appear in the overworld to sit on. The five-star character selector will also be available to claim a Standard Banner character. When claiming this five-star character, the game will automatically give out the resources needed to level this character up to Level 60. HoYoverse also announced they are intending to change the duration of this character selector, but exact details are to be revealed in the future.

For the fifth-year anniversary, HoYoverse wants to put out its own individual video to celebrate. This will be coming out on Septeber 28, so stay tuned to celebrate the game with them.

Optimizations

The biggest optimization update to Genshin Impact has to be the Masterless Stella Fortuna. If travelers pull a five-star character that they already have six constellations for, they will instead receive a Masterless Stella Fortuna. This item can be used for any character to raise their character level cap. Without any need for any EXP (experience) books or mora, travelers can raise the character levels to 95 and then 100! The game will retroactively track past pulls that travelers have done and reward their account with the necessary number of Masterless Stella Fortuna they should’ve earned if the feature was in the game earlier.

The other big update to optimization is to deal with artifacts. When travelers have a five-star artifacts with three substats, the UI will automatically reveal what the fourth substat is going to be without having to level it up! This will help clean up a lot of travelers’ inventories.

In the first week after a new five-star character is released, the domains needed for their materials will not be time-restricted. This will make is possible for travelers to completely max out the character without needing to wait so long as they have the Resin to farm for them.

Speaking of Resin, the cap for Condensed Resin has increased from 40 to 60.

There are multiple other small changes to optimization. Oculi, Shrines of Depths, and other content will provide more Adventure EXP to level up accounts. “Test Run” will feature basic materials and its reward requirements have been reduced. Furthermore, if a “Test Run” exists for a character travelers own, they can automatically claim rewards. The Battle Pass will offer overworld material rewards. The Stardust purchase limit in the store has been increased. The difficult of open-world enemies and some Domain challenges has been lowered in Co-Op.

The Treasure Compass can be upgraded to track all Oculi, treasure, and treasure clues in Nod-Krai. The Lunar Treasury can now obtain Dust of Enlightment. Players can also now directly use 40 Original Resin to claim rewards in Domains if they don’t want to condense it.

Final Thoughts

The Lunar I Livestream for Genshin Impact revealed a lot of information. Nod-Krai is sure to bring a lot of changes to the game for the better. I’m excited to experience the new story integrations and feel more immersed in the world of Teyvat.
