Sony aired a State of Play at 5 P.M. EST on Wednesday, September 24th, 2025 with several announcements, updates, and guest appearances squeezed into approximately 35 minutes. If you didn’t have the chance to catch it live or don’t want to sit through everything, here is a recap below by release date:
09/25/2025 — PlayStation Plus Update
The Last of Us day is September 25th, and Sony will add The Last of Us Part 2 to the Game Catalog. The remastered version for the PS5 will also be available.
October 2025 — PlayStation Plus Update
The three titles coming to PlayStation Plus for the month of October are: Alan Wake II, Goat Simulator 3, and Cocoon. We will also see Tekken 3, Soul Caliber 3, and Tomb Raider Anniversary will arrive to PS Plus Classics later this year.

10/08/2025 — Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
Wow. Who had this announcement on their State of Play bingo card? Yes, Microsoft’s Flight Simulator 2024 is making its way to PlayStation soon!
10/10/2025 — Battlefield 6
The trailer shown off today featured Battlefield 6′s single player campaign.
10/23/2025 — Celebrating God of War’s 20th Anniversary
To celebrate God of War‘s 20th anniversary, Sony will release a themed DualSense wireless controller for the recommended price of $84.99 USD. Pre-orders start on October 3rd at direct.playstation.com and other participating retailers.

December 2025 — Gran Turismo 7 SPEC III Update
The Gran Turismo franchise is also celebrating; they’ve reached 100 million units since its launch. In honor of achieving this milestone, they will drop a sizeable update, SPEC III, later this year. It will include two new racetracks, eight new vehicles, a data logger, and much more.
12/03/2025 — LET IT DIE: INFERNO
This high-octane PvPvE title was announced at the State of Play. You play as a Raider that drops into the Hell Gate where you will face monsters and other players. Defeat them with melee action and enjoy rogue-lite elements.
01/28/2026 — The Seven Deadly Sins: Origins
Explore the kingdom of Britannia in this open world RPG based off the manga and anime series; however, this is a completely original story.
01/30/2026 — Code Vein II
A release date dropped for Code Vein II in this voluptuous trailer.
02/05/2026 — Deus Ex Remastered
A remaster of Deus Ex will arrive early next year to celebrate their 25th anniversary. It will feature enhanced visuals, an overhaul of controls, and haptic feedback.
02/06/2026 — Nioh 3
We also get a release date for the highly anticipated Nioh 3.
03/19/2026
Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered
Koei Tecmo had two announcements at the Sony State of play, and one is a remaster of Dynasty Warriors 3. The trailer shows direct comparisons between the original and the remaster.
Crimson Desert
Release dates continue to pour out, and we get an amazing trailer from Pearl Abyss’ action-adventure game, Crimson Dessert.
03/20/2026 — SAROS
SAROS was the State of Play opener, and it featured a first look at the action-packed game play. The story follows Arjun Devraj, who seeks answers in a shapeshifting world called Carcosa. Housemarque is pushing the limits of their creativity with award-winning Returnal under their belt. In the trailer, we see the various things our protagonist can do such as the Soltari Shield, use of a Power Weapon, and most importantly, the Second Chance–which feeds into the permanent progression system. Come back stronger in SAROS, releasing March 20th, 2026. Check out the trailer:
09/08/2026 — Halloween
Although we have to wait a year for this, we get to check out gameplay and get a release date for Halloween, where you can play as the titular Mike Myers or civilian.
Fall 2026 — Wolverine
We have waited years for a follow up from the teaser for Wolverine, and today’s State of Play closed with a fantastic trailer. The visuals are bright and very bloody, and Liam McIntyre was revealed as the actor behind Logan. The game will take you to the Canadian Wilderness and Japan and features characters like Omega Red and Mystique. The team behind Wolverine wanted to honor the Wolverine known in the comics but also add their own flare, paying attention to the finest of details.

Chronoscript: The Endless End
This incredibly interesting game is about an editor that enters a manor and ends up trapped in a manuscript. The protagonist must survive this dark fantasy in this 2D action-adventure.
Zero Parades: For Dead Spies
This espionage CRPG gives lots of Disco Elysium vibes… Check out the trailer for yourselves to see what you’re in store for.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Mega Man DLC pack
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds releases 9/25/2025, but there’s a DLC pack to look forward to in the future, and it features all things Mega Man.

PULSE Elevate
This is not a game, but rather, a new accessory to add to your gaming arsenal. This time, Sony is announcing a wireless speaker system for an immersive desktop experience. These speakers will be available as black and white. Features include, but are not limited to, PlayStation Link technology, built-in mic with AI noise reduction, and compatible with not just the PlayStation 5 but also PC, Mac, and PlayStation Portal.
