Super Mario Bros. Movie Delayed to Spring 2023

Tonight, Nintendo announced in a tweet from Mario creator himself, Shigeru Miyamoto, that the Super Mario Bros. movie starring Chris Pratt as the mustachioed plumber is being delayed from this Christmas to April 7, 2023 in North America (April 28 in Japan). Given that Nintendo is notorious for delaying their video games (see the recent delay of the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, this shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. Especially considering that we haven’t even seen a trailer of the movie yet.

Not much is known about the Super Mario Bros. movie short of the cast, but make sure to stay tuned to Boss Rush for all you need to know on the upcoming animated debut for video games most prolific mascot.
