Nintendo Confirms Mid-August Release of New Kirby Game Dream Buffet

During a Kirby 30th Anniversary Music Fest held in Tokyo, Nintendo announced the release date for the new Kirby game Dream Buffet. Though it is not confirmed for state side to release in tangent with that of Japan, it is expected to release Wednesday August 17th on its eShop for around 1500 yen or $11.30. We can assume it will release worldwide at the same time as the Japan release.

Kirby’s Dream Buffet that was announced in July by Nintendo was described as a frantic multiplayer game that involves rolling, racing, and tons of food consumption. Players will navigate courses, inhale foods such as strawberries to copy and sabotage fellow racers, all while using that extra girth to run other players off coarse. Sounds like a lot of wacky fun to partake in.

With Nintendo already releasing Kirby and the Forgotten Land earlier this year and receiving well deserved praise, do you think Dream Buffet will offer a delicious second coarse to follow up? Will you be trying out this game when it releases? Do you like Kirby games? Please follow up with our questions in the comments.
