Paramount released its first full trailer for the upcoming third and final season of Star Trek: Picard as part of Star Trek Day celebrations.
This trailer comes on the heels of a teaser trailer Paramount showed during its San Diego Comic-Con panel back in July. Picard is set to release on Paramount Plus next February and will feature many from the original cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
This new trailer offered a lot of details as well as showcasing many from the original cast. This included Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden), William T. Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis), Geordi LaForge (LeVar Burton), and Worf (Michael Dorn).
Fans also get a view of a mysterious new threat that appears to have its sights set on the United Federation of Planets’s headquarters. There’s also the appearance of Commander Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) aboard the ship called the Titan.
Star Trek: Picard centers Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Steward) as he returns from retirement to continue his adventures in the galaxy. Season one aired in 2020, and season two aired in 2022.
Star Trek fans have a lot to look forward to with this trailer as it appears to lean heavily into nostalgia. This looks to be an exciting ride and one I am greatly looking forward to as the release date nears.
Star Trek: Picard will release on Feb. 16 on Paramount Plus. The first and second seasons are available on the streaming service now.
