Nintendo of America announced a June Direct that will occur bright and early on Tuesday, June 18th at 7 AM PST. Prior to this announcement, Nintendo President Furukawa had made it clear there would be no mention of the Switch successor. So, what can we expect? While no one knows, it’s always fun to draft our Nintendo Direct Bingo Card! What’s on your card?
My card is going to look pretty boring, with the majority of my squares banking on ports or remakes. I also predict “non-announcements”–no Silksong and no Zelda movie news. Even though we are at the end of the Switch’s life cycle, and Nintendo won’t reveal the new console, it would be hard to believe they wouldn’t have at least one major teaser to look forward to next year. Perhaps a new Metroid Prime 4 teaser leaps into the limelight or a new entry in the Star Fox franchise is announced.
