Today, your friends at Boss Rush continued with day two of PAX West 2025 in Seattle, Washington. The weather was cooler today, cloudy and in the 70s; but that didn’t stop the action from heating up on the convention floor. More amazing cosplays, pro-gaming competitions, merch, and much more. Here are our highlights for PAX West on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
The Boss Rush Network team attendance at PAX West 2025: Ed (Vice President), David (Editor In Chief), Pat (Chief Gaming Officer), Jou Lee (Senior Writer), Courtney (Social Media Manager), and Sofi (Associate Writer). Each day, we’ll share our highlights from all the action at PAX West.
Ed (Vice President)

Day 2 of PAX WEST was not only packed with more visitors, but more fun experiences were had with the games I played. I started out playing the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive Obakeidro 2: Chase And Seek. I got to play as the survivor and the monster. It’s a cutesy and casual multiplayer survival in the style of Dead By Daylight. I must tell you, the laughs that were had were well earned. I didn’t win any rounds, but I was playing against the computer. I even had the Director, Katsu Tanaka, watching me and having a great time laughing and enjoying my smile. Great music and a game I am looking forward to in the future.
I also got to play Rogue Labyrinth, and although I had some difficulty with the controls, the creator of the game gave me a controller, and I was having a blast with it. It was a PC build for a demo; I really had fun in the end and was getting farther until I lost to a frog… that was in a car… IT’S THAT WACKY AND FUN!
I also got to try an updated version of Alterium Shift, and although I didn’t get to play the Switch version, I did see that it will be playable on the Steam Deck. The team is working hard to make the game the best it could be, and it’s in early access on Steam. I also got to talk to David Brevik about Diablo, the success of Tiny Book Shop on Switch, and the future of Skystone Games. I also got to speak to Patrick Rami at Lethal Shadows about Miniatures, and it was a great discussion. I also got to talk to Devin Santi about Mr. Sleepy Man, and it was a fun conversation. I also met some cool people in the elevator, exchanged business cards, and had passionate discussions in the media room that felt like old friends having the time of their lives, even though we all just met. Overall, another successful day at PAX WEST 2025.
One more thing, I had a great lunch and awesome time with one of my best friends who lives here in Seattle. We really nerded out and had some great laughs while seeing some interesting people enjoying the food and music.

David (Editor-In-Chief)
Day two is always more challenging as the thrills and energy of the opening day have faded and the real work of reporting on the convention begins in earnest. Waking up was TOUGH, but once I was out the door, I was ready to see what PAX West had for me. And I’m happy to say day two was even better than the first.
I started the morning by going to my appointment at the Polish Games Booth, getting to play the aerial arcade game House Fighters: Total Mess. What a treat! This charming game features toys that come to life when they humans are away and players are tasked with protecting the house from danger. Afterwards, I headed over to Serenity Forge to have my Slay the Princess art book signed by Abby and Tony of Black Tabby Games.
For the afternoon, I visited Daedalic Entertainment to play Hidden Deep, a fantastic sci-fi / horror platformer, which I’ll be reporting more on tomorrow. Let’s just say the game is highly inspired by 1970s and 80s horror like Alien and The Thing. Needless to say, I’m the target audience for this one! After Daedelic Entertainment, I visited PAX Rising, where I played an incredible Game Boy inspired indie game called Draco and the Seven Scales, a pirate story that’s heavily influenced by The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Final Fantasy, and Star Tropics. I’ll also be writing some in-depth coverage for this one tomorrow, so keep an eye out for this one—you won’t want to miss it!
Pat (Chief Gaming Officer)

Today I got to check out a few demos on the floor. I somehow made it to the Atari booth and Bubsy 4D was completely open, so I decided to check it out. I mean, what’s the worst that can happen? (Bubsy followers will get that) The game is not horrible, so Bubsy might officially make his comeback! I also played Borderlands 4. The game seemed to have a darker tone to it, but it looked good, played good, and sounded good. I also tried out Fallen Tear: The Ascension, which was described to me as a Metroidvania-JRPG. It plays like a Metroidvania, but there are a lot of elements that are Suikoden inspired. Finally, I also checked out The Occultist at the Daedalic booth. Overall, I liked it. It could use a little more polish, but it does have some nice atmospheric elements in it.

Man, was PAX West busy today! Thankfully it was a short wait to get in the morning, but I was like a small fish swimming in a school. I took the chance to stop by Scalisco to see A Corgi’s Cozy Hike. I had bought a mystery box from them with an adorable set of pins and stickers. I also found myself randomly stumbling upon a new developer called Wise Monkey Entertainment Ltd. It was an absolute blast to see their game No Stone Unturned and to talk to the creator Gareth Owen.

Sofi (Associate Writer)
Today was a lot slower than yesterday but I had time to connect with a handful of other content creators and learn a thing or two about the video game industry. I did however make a solid list of indie titles I wanted to check out the following days to make my PAX visit a lot more productive.
Courtney (Social Media Manager)
After a 10-hour flight, no food, and plenty of sleep, I was ready for today! I mainly followed Ed around the expo until I worked up the courage to start branching out on my own. I got to talk to a few game creators that caught my interest, but the highlight was listening to the creator of Mr.Sleepy Man. His story about where he started and how he got a second chance to give it his all really inspired me. It made me reflect on the projects I worked on during college and throughout the pandemic, and think about which ones I want to pick back up and continue growing.

Another highlight of my day was streaming my first-ever live interactive game experience (at least, that’s the best way I can describe it). LANFest is a space where creators can livestream directly from the event to raise money for their chosen charities. I chose to support them, and the money they raise goes toward running volunteer-led LAN parties across the U.S., supporting local and national charities, and creating safer, more inclusive spaces in gaming. Watching them work—and having people help me set up overlays, troubleshoot, and figure out how to get the audio to play through my headset—was a 10/10 experience!
The game itself was amazing, especially with the marketing team and developers there to showcase it. I was able to dive deep into everything, from gameplay breakdowns all the way to the lore, alongside the community. Honestly, this deserves a whole article on its own, and I can’t wait to share more about Wildcard!
